Peter Obi donates N50m to Dominican University, Ibadan

Former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi has donated N50 million to Dominican University, Ibadan in continuation of his support to educational institutions across the country.
Obi made the donation during the combined 3rd and 4th convocation ceremony of the university.
Obi has been involved with Dominican University since its inception and had served as its Pro Chancellor. His gesture was met with deep gratitude and admiration from those who attended the ceremony, with many of them describing his actions as a reflection of his role as a figure of hope in Nigeria’s current socio-economic challenges.
In a heartfelt message following his donation, the attendees expressed their prayers and appreciation.
While praying God to continue to bless and protect him and his family, they urged him to continue to serve as a source of hope and light in the midst of the present darkness and hopelessness in the country.
"Obi’s donation highlights not just financial support, but a symbolic reinforcement of education as the key to overcoming societal challenges.
His consistent contributions to educational causes continue to inspire optimism and commitment to youth development across Nigeria", authorities of the university said.
They also recalled that he has consistently been donating to the school since its inception.
