Oluremi Tinubu to Politicians: Prioritise electorate over party affiliations

Nigerian First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Friday urged politicians to place the interests of the electorate above party allegiance in the discharge of their duties.

Speakingb at a stakeholders' meeting organised by her Renewed Hope Initiative, held with traditional rulers and religious leaders in Lagos, the First Lady stressed that public service should be rooted in commitment to the people, not merely loyalty to political platforms.

“Our priority as leaders must always be the welfare of those who elected us, not just the interests of our political parties,” she said.

The meeting, which brought together key community influencers, focused on strengthening grassroots engagement and fostering unity for national development through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

The First Lady also reaffirmed her commitment to 0supporting policies and programmes that promote peace, development, and the well-being of all Nigerians.
