Anambra First Lady, Dr Nonye Soludo, through her non-governmental organization, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, has launched a free one-month computer training programme designed to equip secondary school students and young people with essential digital skills.

The programme is part of the NGOs commitment to empowering young people with practical skills that can improve their opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.

The training, which focuses on simple computer basics, is scheduled to commence on August 24, 2026, and will hold three times weekly at the Healthy Living Complex located at Udoka Housing Estate in Awka.

Details of the programme show that the free training is open to secondary school students and young people who want to develop their foundational computer skills and gain the confidence needed to participate more effectively in today's digital economy.

A statement from Her Excellency's office noted that access to digital skills is increasingly important for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development, making it necessary to expose young people to basic computer knowledge early.
