Ministerial nominee collapses during screening

The ministerial replacement of Nasir El- Rufai's from Kaduna State, Balarabe Abbas Lawal, on Wednesday collapsed on the floor of the Senate during his screening

Lawal who collapsed at about 1:50pm was immediately attended to by medical personnel who tried to revive him.

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, worried by the development, called for an urgent closed door session and asked newsmen to vacate the gallery.
