Kidnappers dare Soludo, abduct one person a day after launch of security outfit

Awka- Kidnappers operating in Anambra State have dared Governor Chukwuma Soludo by abducting one person barely 48 hours after the launch of 'Operation Udo ga achi' security outfit.

The victim was abducted at Aku village, Ezinifitte community in Aguata local government area of the state.

According to a cousin of the victim,, the man was abducted at around 11pm on Sunday, and was being driven around in his own vehicle, while ransom demands were being negotiated, adding however that he was released on Monday by 7am.

He said: "The kidnapped victim has thankfully been released this morning, but not without a heavy cost. His entire account was emptied through a POS transaction linked to a MoniePoint account.

"I deeply appreciate all your prayers, messages, and offers of help during this difficult time. Your support means so much."

Though he failed to reveal the amount paid as ransom, he however begged that clues on how to recover funds lost in such circumstances will be appreciated.

The state Police command was yet to react on the latest development.
