In furtherance of his commitment to entrench an effective community policing approach the CP called for sustained stakeholder support.

The CP who respectively addressed officers at the five Area Commands reaffirmed his resolve to ensure that policing in Enugu State remains proactive, professional, and devoid of rights abuses, extortion, and all forms of corruption.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe (SP), the CP charged police personnel to embrace emotional intelligence in the discharge of their duties and align with the Command’s vision, warning that deviations would attract strict disciplinary measures.

The CP he said, stressed that community support was critical to crime prevention and appealed to stakeholders to sustain their cooperation through the community policing strategy.

The tour he further said, provided an opportunity for the CP to formally familiarise and interact with police personnel, other security agencies, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) members, religious leaders, market and transport union heads, town union presidents-general, youth leaders, hoteliers, and other stakeholders.
