Anambra's new Government House best In Africa Housing Commissioner

The Anambra State Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Pauly Onyeka, has described the new Government House and Lodge under construction in Awka as the best in Africa, and a great monumental feat.

The Commissioner, who spoke at the new Government House and Lodge Site, said the project is gradually turning into something realistic.

Onyeka extolled Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his innovation and infrastructural transformation in the state, describing him as a visionary leader that always thinks wildly and deeply into anything he would embark on.

The Commissioner said: " lf you understand how this place was two years ago, then you will come to realize the fact that this administration has done what anybody can call an impossible thing.

If you look around, you will see that this place is a community of its own, with over 35 different buildings, starting from the main building of the project, the Governor's offices, amphitheatre; the residential area, the clinic, the sporting center, the banquet hall accommodating over 1,225 persons and a lot of other essential buildings".

According to him, the governor constantly visits the site with other high profile projects in the state to see that things are done well.

"I have never seen a hovernor with such passion and capacity. Here, we have a wonderful Government House and city", he said.

He explained that the decision to locate the Government House there was to bring the three arms zone and the state secretariat together.

Onyeka assured that in a couple of weeks, everything will be fixed and the new Government House would be presented to the people of the state soon.
