The Hausa Community in Anambra State has disassociated itself from a statement credited to one Hussaini Haruna, who claimed that the community is opposed to the reelection of Governor Chukwuma Soludo , assuring that the community will give him maximum support.
Their leader, Alhaji Iliyasu Yushau, the Sarkin Hausawan Onitsha, debunked a statement credited to Haruna, that they would support another candidate.
Describing Haruna as an agent of division, Yushau further reaffirmed the unwavering support of the Hausa Community in Anambra for the continuity of Soludo’s administration.
According to him, the current administration has been inclusive and devoid of tribalism, adding that all their members in the state will vote massively for Soludo.
“The Arewa Community in Anambra is fully in support of Governor Soludo’s administration. We appreciate his commitment to security, road infrastructure, education, and the prudent management of the state's resources,” he stated.
Also speaking, the General Co-ordinator of the Association of Northern Youth Resident in Anambra State, Alhaji Yushau Imam, condemned the action of Haruna, whom he described as unknown to the Hausa Community in Anambra State and lacking any recognized leadership status.
"We are not happy with Mr. Haruna. We don’t know him as our leader, and we have not had any meeting with him or discussed any political issue concerning the Anambra State governorship election with him.
We are showing our solidarity to our working governor because he has carried everybody along", he said.
