Anambra federal lawmaker, Ogene, delivers 3 projects for Okpoko community

The member representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Hon Victor Ogene, has commissioned six solar boreholes, six classroom blocks at Girls Secondary School and a fully - equipped Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, center in Okpoko area of the constituency.

The commissioning ceremony attracted a large number of the constituents who commended the lawmaker for quality representation.

Speaking during the commissioning, Ogene, who is caucus leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, legislators in the House of Representatives, said the projects align with the values of the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.

“My choice of projects is inspired by the leadership philosophy of our NDC presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, who prioritises the welfare of ordinary people, and the future of children and the unborn generation,” he said.

Ogene, who is seeking re-election in 2027 on the platform of NDC, assured the people that he would continue to attract meaningful projects to the constituency.

Monsignor Theophilus Ndubuisi Odukwe, the Parish Priest of St. Charles Lwanga Catholic Parish, Okpoko, described the interventions as people-centered and timely, adding that they will ease hardship of the people in the area.

"For the residents, the boreholes mean an end to daily struggles in search of potable water", he said.
