The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has authorized the parents of the three children whose lifeless bodies were found in a refrigerator in Nnewi to bury them to reduce their grief.
The parents of the children had requested the CP to allow them to bury them while investigation continues.
Acknowledging the grief of the family of the late children, the CP granted the request and assured the family of swift Police action when necessary, pending the outcome of the medical findings to complete the ongoing investigation.
He further stated that the command is working diligently to unravel the circumstances surrounding the heartbreaking incident.
He said that given the granting of the request, "the command wishes to state that the details of the investigation are still incomplete" .
He urged Anambra people and all concerned to be patient and seek continuous cooperation from the area to provide justice for the victims and their families.
It will be recalled that CP Orutugu visited the family of the three siblings shortly after assuming office in Anambra State and vowed to unmask the perpetrators of the dastardly act in due time.
