Anambra bye-election; Disappointment as those who registered recently could not vote

It was a disappointment for many voters in Anambra South as they could not vote in the by-election because their names are not yet in the voters register.

At a polling unit in ward 5, Okija in Ihiala local government area, many of them queued for voting only to be informed that they can only start voting in November during the governorship election.

Turnout of voters was not high, even though the materials arrived early. It was observed that the accreditation was slow following the delay experienced during the capturing.

In most of the polling units in the local government, only three political parties had agents.
