In an emotion-laden atmosphere at Umueri, Anambra East local government area of Anambra State, a governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress, APC, for the November 2025 election, Sir Paul Chukwuma, struggled to hold back tears when the coordinators of the famous Ikemba Front from the 21 local government areas of the state endorsed him for the governorship of the state.

Members of Ikemba Front, who are grassroot politicians, formed the backbone of support base for the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah who was also an APC governorship aspirant before his death.

Describing Ubah as his late colleague and friend, Chukwuma called for a minute of silence for the late Senator before accepting the endorsement by the Ikemba Front.

He said: "I salute the founders of Ikemba Front for their endorsement. I remember that I was in this race together with my brother, Ifeanyi Ubah, before God called him, and we can't question God.

When Ikemba Front endorsed Ubah, I knew I had lost great politicians, but today we are together for our great party, the APC.

With this endorsement, we are sure to win the election, both the primary and the main election on November 8. APC today is strengthened and all we need to do is to go out and start our mobilization from the wards.

With this support, my primary election is 50 percent done and I am committed to the people of Anambra State and to retain the ideals and love Ubah had for the state.

My number one plan for the state is to bring back security. In Anambra, both Reverend Sisters and Reverend Fathers are not spared by kidnappers, yet the governor does not have any clue of what to do."
