Anambra 2025: How I'll combat insecurity - Paul Chukwuma

The All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant for the Anambra State 2025 election, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has vowed to tackle insecurity with a fresh strategy.


Speaking during an interaction with reporters at his Umueri country home in Anambra East local government area, Chukwuma described the method being adopted by the present administration in the state in fighting security as a huge joke, arguing that there is need for a practical approach to the worrisome issue.


He, however, ruled out reviving the dreaded Bakassi Boys to help fight insecurity, stressing that his administration would rather focus on a government agencies and apply the rule of law.


He also emphasized the importance of community policing, stating that the Issue of security is not a rocket science.


"You cannot achieve security by speaking too much grammar.


We will address the root cause of insecurity and fight it with all the seriousness it deserves", he said.


He lamented that grassroots government is neglected, accusing the current administration of overlooking the importance of local governance in addressing security issues.


He described the current minimum wage in the state as insufficient, noting that it is not sufficient to sustain life.


He assured the people of the state that he possesses the mental capacity to effectively govern Anambra State and urged the electorate to support him.
