100 Anambra women complete Mrs Soludo's 5- weeks training on entrepreneurial skills

One hundred women selected from the 21 local government areas of Anambra State have completed a five - week training on entrepreneurial skills and are ready to enter a new phase of life.

The programme was an initiative of the wife of the state governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo under her

“Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative,” aimed at breaking professional stereotypes and provide women with high-demand technical skills for economic empowerment.

Tagged Anambra Skilled Ladies Programme, the well-designed package offered the women the opportunity to learn and prosper through high-demand lucrative skills in four areas of solar and CCTV Installation and repairs, air condition repair and maintenance, tricycle (Keke) repair, and painting.

The training covered one month of practical classes and another month of internship and all the women achieved at least 98% of class attendance.

“It’s been five weeks of intensive practical classes for the Anambra Skilled Ladies Programme. What thrills me most about this novel exercise is the passion, dedication and meticulousness that these amazing ladies have invested in every task, however daunting.

I am pleased with how far we have come in this great vision and soon, the lives of these ladies, who began this journey out of sheer passion, will be transformed forever.

The future is bright on this side and these women are the real change makers", Mrs Soludo said.

She expressed satisfaction with the performance of the participants who were selected under the first batch of the exercise.
